Carol (Cara) K. G. Lutz, LL.M. joined Morris Law Group as a law clerk in March 2020. Ms. Lutz passed the New York State Bar Examination in 2019 and was admitted to the New York State Bar Association in September 2020. She took The Florida Bar Examination in October 2020 and is awaiting admittance to The Florida Bar.
At Morris Law Group, Ms. Lutz assists the firm’s attorneys with estate planning, tax planning, business structuring and succession planning matters, as well as drafting wills, trusts and powers of attorney.
She received her Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Estate Planning from the University of Miami School of Law, Heckerling Program in Estate Planning, in May 2020. Ms. Lutz received her Juris Doctor from Syracuse University College of Law in Syracuse, New York, in May 2019, with a curriculum program in Estate Planning. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science and a minor in Psychology from Indiana University, where she consistently made the Dean’s List.
While in law school, Ms. Lutz worked as a student attorney for the Syracuse University College of Law Elder & Health Law Clinic. She conducted clinic intake evaluations and client interviews, drafted wills and powers of attorney for clients, researched and composed litigation strategy memos and briefs for administrative law proceedings, and investigated financial records to determine if elder abuse had occurred and potential courses of action.
She also served as a graduate teaching assistant at Syracuse University, evaluating and critiquing her students’ work, addressing and solving student questions and concerns and communicating techniques for improvement.

A member of the International Trade and Finance Association, Ms. Lutz is multilingual as a native English speaker, with proficiency in French and conversational in Spanish, Portuguese, and German. She enjoys the beach, going to classic rock concerts and traveling the world.
